Our new Spring menu has now arrived in our Bistro and is packed full of mouth-watering dishes. In fact, just writing about it on here has made us feel very hungry! The new menu features some of our most popular dishes such as our Home-Made Scotch Egg, Twice Baked Local Cheese Soufflé, Confit of Duck and our delicious Fish and Chips. However, joining these are a selection of new seasonal spring dishes created by our Head Chef Jonathon Bell including Thai Infused Chicken Curry, Shoulder of Lamb and Fillet of Hake with Saffron Potato.
One dish we are particularly proud of is our Home Cured Pastrami. Our chefs have begun brining local Lakeland Beef to produce this beautifully tender Pastrami which will be served with pickled beets, horseradish cream and a watercress salad.
To finish we have a great selection of delectable desserts including our ‘sublime’ Sticky Toffee Pudding, Baked Chocolate Orange Cheesecake with Coconut Meringue and new season Rhubarb Crème Brulee.
The new menu is available and both lunch and dinner. We also offer a set two or three course meal for £17.50/£21.00 at lunchtime and between 6pm and 7pm. Sandwiches and baguettes are also available until 4.30pm and we have a children’s menu available for those under about 10 available until 7pm. The Bistro may offer a relaxed and informal atmosphere but the food is prepared and served to the high standards you would expect at The Pheasant.
Spring is about things coming back to life and whilst the buds on the trees are starting to burst into bloom, our new Spring menu will certainly awaken your taste buds. Come down and give it a try - we think it is ‘blooming’ great!
