It's been a tough week seeing so many people we know affected by storm Desmond. Fortunately the Pheasant Inn was not flooded and we only suffered some water in the cellar. This meant we were unable to serve draught beer for a few days but we are glad to say the beer is most definitely back on now!
Right after the storm, the A66 was closed which meant some of our guests has to stay an additional night and sadly there were some who couldn't get to us for their breaks, but we hope to see them again in the not too distant future. Fortunately by the early hours of Monday, the fantastic emergency services had got the road back open so our guests could get back home.
All the roads to the hotel have now been opened, and Keswick town centre is open and very much needs visitors, so don't stay away and do come and visit us! There are plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions open and we do need as many visitors as possible. Many walks are still accessible and you can get out onto the fells in most places. Don't forget that we have winter short breaks from just £68 per person per night, click here for more details.
We hope to see you again soon #cumbriaisopen
